Thanksgiving is all about food, fun, family, friends and giving thanks. I am thankful for the opportunity each day to have incredible, beautiful creatures in my life and to be able to share their specialness through my photos with you. Benny the dog, Madison the cat and the latest to join the Lobo family, Audrey and Roberta (featured above) and I wish you all a very warm Thanksgiving.

I just learned this morning that the first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was in 1924. They didn’t have any balloon animals for that first parade — instead they marched with animals from the Central Park Zoo. Who knew?
