This wraps up 17 years of my sending out these Sunday (mostly zoo) montages. By my calculations that’s about 850 photo montages. Oh my! Thanks for coming along for the ride. I think some of you have been with me for the entire 17 years. I am thankful for that. I am not going to harp on what a crappy year this has been – no need to go over what we all have experienced. This was the first year since 2005 that we have not gone on any zoocations. We had one planned for March – but then everything came to a halt. I am hopeful that within six months our lives will somewhat return to normal and zoocations will commence once again. That said – I leave you as always with no ‘ifs, just ends and butts’.
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year. More fun in ’21.

Appropriate and cute, but 2020 was not so cute. Thank you for bringing some fun into annus horribilis!

You’ve surely earned this next phase Judy. And your posts brought me into grandmotherhood over past 4 years. The 4 babies/toddlers are imprinted on your lovely and lively work and I will often revisit the many of your posts that I’ve saved.

Thank you! Happy New Year and (books??? ) and next stage of life!

Dear Judy, You have no reason to remember me, but I was a Wildlife Guide at the zoo for eight years until I was unceremoniously fired for disagreeing with the changes made at the expense of the Guides. This was during the reign of Dan Wharton (I think) and Jane ?, volunteer coordinator. Since then, for the past 11 years, I have been a docent with the Live Exhibits group at the American Museum of Natural History. However, none of the above is of any import. What is in fact most outstanding and memorable are your many. many years of wonderful photos, which continually reminded me of the best of times spent at the Zoo, as well as the visits I made at similar facilities all over the country (but not nearly as many as you!) Thank you, Judy, for your expertise and devotion to nature and its amazing creatures. Your posts are now the stuff of legend! Wising you a much deserved “retirement,” in health and with joy, Joe Schwartz (former Tuesday Guide) ________________________________

Of course I remember you Joe. It is good to hear from you and thank you for your lovely words about my photos. My retirement is premature. I think when I said I was wrapping up 2020 some people thought I was ending my Sunday montages. Not so. I will continue each Sunday, as I have for the past 17 years as long as I come up with fresh ideas or photos that inspire me. Be well.
