It has been a terrific zoo year filled with new faces and places.  And keeping up with tradition, I end the year with no ‘ifs,’ – just ends and butts. The new year will also bring several photo workshops that I will be running out of the Central Park Zoo. You can register for them now.

Don’t forget, I will be presenting 2011 – A Year in Photos at the Central Park Zoo at the Fifth Avenue Apple store on January 11th at 7PM.  Come one, come all – it is free and it will be fun.

We are also planning two zoo-cations to new places.  Looking forward to meeting fellow zoo nuts and wishing you all a very Happy and healthy New Year.

Visits to zoos other than the Central Park Zoo (which is home base) included:

– The Artis Zoo  in the Netherlands

– the New Zoo in Green Bay Wisconsin

– The Racine Zoo

– The Milwaukee Zoo

– The Lincoln Park Zoo

– The Shedd Aquarium

– The Brookfield Zoo

– The Southwick’s Zoo

– The Philadelphia Zoo

– The Franklin Park Zoo

– The Stone Zoo

Six Flags Wild Safari

LI Aquarium and Exhibition Center

San Francisco Zoo  and of course, our sister zoos,

-The Prospect Park Zoo

-The New York Aquarium

-The Bronx Zoo  and Queens Zoo

I think a visit to Beardsley is definitely in the cards – sooner rather than later.
