Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Zoo was the zoo of my childhood and whenever I visit I get a few fond flashbacks. On this visit, I remembered there was an elephant named ‘Judy’ – so I googled it. Oh dear – sometimes, the outcome of a google search is not very good news. But, it was a long time ago and zoos were very different back then. My memory of Judy the elephant still remains sweet. Go visit!
What a lovely portrait of the Snow Monkey family! And the photo of the peacocks …. extraordinary! I’ve never seen anything like it!

Thanks Christina. Those are baboons, not snow monkeys though.

Thanks Judy. Know most of these critters as Abyl and Miles were pretty much brought up there…and learned most of their manners there too — not in a bad way!

Beautiful! You just inspired me to visit again this week. Is that a new baby Hamydras baboon??? BTW — I love that fish. Fish always look a little like WC Fields to me for some reason.
