Rabbits were aplenty at the Catskill Region Rabbit Show in Rhinebeck NY last Saturday. We had never seen so many rabbits.  To name a few: Himalayans, Belgian Hares, Flemish Giants, Holland Lops, Giant Chinchillas, Dwarf Hotots, Harelquins, Thriantas and more.  Enjoy this seasonal photo montage.

Spring has sprung and the Central Park Tisch Children’s Zoo has a leaping lamb and an air born baby goat or two (actually five).  Come visit.  Bring your smile and your camera. It’s lots of fun and it won’t last long as they grow up very quickly.

Spring has sprung and the Central Park Zoo is lively and fun.  Come see another new baby mini-nubian goat named Barbara Rose and two adorable baby lambs.  If your timing is right you will also be able to see our male snow leopard, Bo, who made his public debut last week.

Do you have a product or service you want to promote on the web? Are you tired of those small images that do not truly show off what it is you are trying to promote, advertise or sell? FullScreenPhotos.com is an online tool for creating impressive full screen slideshows from your own images. It allows you easily produce large presentations from your own photos. Its applications are many including real estate, travel, events, food preparation, products, art work, floral arrangements or simply showing off your experiences through photos.

It is easy to use.  Check out my full screen photo show here.

“FullScreenPhotos.com lets anyone create beautiful slideshows that start and play in full screen, so that your audience can enjoy your photos close up and high quality — the way they were meant to be seen. It’s memorable, made easy. Simply upload your photos, and we’ll build a full screen slid eshow for you! Add the slide show launch button to your website, blog, eBay listing, craigslist, Facebook — anywhere you want! When your photos look great, so do you. When your slide show makes a big impression, you look professional, and you add lasting value to your products, properties, and pictures. Full Screen Photos is the cure for the common slide show”. Wildlife Photography – New Price and an Additional Hour at the Apple Store

Some new and exciting news about this Spring’s photo class taking place at the Central Park Zoo on May 22nd.  We have added an additional hour to the class where we will take the short walk to the Apple Store on 5th Ave. and 59th St. for a private photo editing workshop with the Apple staff.  You’ll learn to edit your zoo photos and then engage in a group analysis of some of the participants’ photos.

In this class, taught by me, you’ll learn how to apply knowledge of animal behavior to wildlife photography to get the perfect shot. After reviewing some of the tricks of the trade while enjoying a continental breakfast, you will photograph the zoo animals in the spring weather –  all before the zoo opens. We will also have special animal guests and will stage some of our animals so that you can take their picture – all part of this unique experience. You’ll also have time to photograph the myriad of roses and peonies in the Central Garden. A collage of the best shots from each student will be emailed to the group. Personal digital camera required.

To see some of my photography, visit my website or take a look at the Winter Photography class photo album on the Central Park Zoo Facebook Page.

Date & Time: Sunday, May 22 9:00 – noon
Fee: $60 members, $70 non-members

Registration will be accepted via the web only. No drop-in or phone registration will be accepted. If you have any questions regarding registration or programs, please contact the registrar at cpzregistration@wcs.org or call 212-439-6583 and press option 4.
