On our recent trip to California we visited, as always, the terrific, San Francisco Zoo. Unfortunately their new Sumatran tiger cub was not available for the public to see yet – but I do hope to see her when next we visit in June. The weather was perfect and it was fun to see some new exhibits.

Tokyo zoo has panda’s. 🙂

Another charming, albeit much smaller zoo here in the West is in Sacramento. It is beautifully landscaped and just the right size for small kids. We took our grandkids there when they were about six.
