Snoopy has tried on plenty of personas over the years: World War I flying ace, novelist, astronaut, college student and, of course, Joe Cool. Now, the famously imaginative beagle is adding fashion muse to his résumé with a sprawling new exhibition in the Meatpacking District. Peanuts presents Snoopy in Style NYCa multifaceted exhibition celebrating Charles M. Schulz’ comic strip through the lens of fashion, creativity, and culture. The exhibition features richly detailed installations curated by the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, a collection of one-of-a-kind Snoopy and Woodstock plush dolls dressed in custom designer creations, an exclusive gift shop, and rare archival pieces highlighting the legacy of Charles M. Schulz and his enduring impact on pop culture, fashion, sports, and music. It was a fun time for all. Coincidentally, when we attended this exhibit there was a Snoopy and Woodstock balloon across the street celebrating Macy’s 100th Thanksgiving parade this year. This Snoopy closes on September 26th. In 2016, we visited the Charles Schultz Museum and Research Center in Ca. Fun for all.
