Photos from our amazing adventure to Svalbard, Norway with National Geographic/Linblad continue with Part Two. Of course seeing polar bears in the wild was breathtaking but nonetheless fabulous were the walrus, seals, whales, reindeer and rich bird life. We reached the 80th parallel north and were about 600 miles from the North Pole. Part three will feature the beauty of the landscape.
wish I could have gone with you!

Gorgeous photos, but what are the penguins doing in the Northern Hemisphere (Norway) if they are penguins and the photo was shot in Norway!

The arctic, as you know, has no penguins but they do call those birds the ‘penguins of the north.’ They are Think-billed Murres, also called Guillemots.
