To those that know me it is not a secret that I love the fall. I enjoy the amazing colors of the changing leaves and the fullness of the fall harvest. Also my love of pumpkins is well known. I went to the Union Square Market yesterday to feast on all of the fabulous colors and textures. Enjoy! Stay safe, social distance and please wear a mask.

Yesterday’s photo class at the Central Park Zoo turned out to be great fun despite the ‘iffy’ weather. Our hearty band of photographers were enriched by our pumpkin dsplay as much as our animals. Fun for all. Did I mention today is my birthday?

I admit to not being useful in a kitchen and to being a very picky eater but I do enjoy going to the Union Square Greenmarket to photograph their seasonal offerings. The colors, shapes and smells are a feast for both the palate and the palette. Enjoy my Octoberfeast!

Most of these photos were taken last Sunday at the Central Park Zoo’s photo workshop – it was a barrel of fun. Pumpkins galore! Both the animals and photographers were enriched by the experience. A special shout out to the Central Park Zoo Friday Guides and the Saturday Education crew and Interns for their excellent carving expertise. If you want some photo fun check out the host of classes coming up at the Zoo including two photo options in November.

The day before Hurricane Sandy hit New York City we innocently enjoyed some pumpkin enrichment fun with many of the beautiful animals at the Central Park Zoo. Hope these photos make you smile as much as I did while taking the shots. There are still a few spaces left in my Fall Photo Workshop next Sunday, November 11th from 9 to 11 AM. Guaranteed fun. Click here and sign up.
That’s my dog Benny (above) showing off his Halloween costume. Sadly, Halloween was cancelled in the City but Benny got to wear his costume around Casa Lobo and get many treats.

I love October complete with it’s feast for the palette and the palate. It is filled with beautiful turning leaves, crisp air, blue skies and a cornucopia of color, texture and shapes. I was able to capture some of this at the union Square Greenmarket over the weekend. Check out your local farmer’s market to see what is happening in your area. Bring your camera and have some fun.
Only about a month to go until my Central Park Zoo Fall Photography workshop, Sunday, November 11th from 9:00AM-11:00AM. This class is filling up quickly. Click on this Central Park Zoo link read all about the workshop and sign up for some guaranteed photo fun. There are many programs and classes for all ages. Check them all out and plan for a fun fall and winter zoo experience.
