Winter gave us one last gasp of cold, wind and snow this week. The animals at the Central Park Zoo did not mind at all. Come visit before it all melts away.

6389snoqAll WCS zoos were closed on February 9th during the snowstorm. I was at the zoo bright and early the next day to catch our amazing collection as they emerged from their holding areas to see the freshly fallen snow. What fun.cpzsnow2-2017

6389It is hard to believe that summer is over. Now is a great time to visit your local zoo. The crowds have mostly gone and kids are back in school. Next month the Central Park Zoo will be holding the first of three photo opportunities for animal and camera lovers. 6389There are few things as much fun as watching zoo animals step foot on newly fallen snow. We were at the Central Park Zoo the Monday after the big blizzard to witness this joy. 6389Still no sign of snow in NYC this winter but the temperate animals are loving the chilly air and blue skies.
